Real Madrid have been in the transfer market eyeing players who have the potential of changing the tempo of their game and one of those players is Aubameyang. Real Madrid have shifted their focus on the Arsenal most in form present striker.
The Gabonese striker has one year left in his Arsenal contract and reports have stated that he is not willing to extend his contract which has placed Arsenal on a benchmark.
The Gabon striker is not expected to sign a new deal at the Emirates, which leaves the Gunners with a decision to make between cashing in now or allowing his contract to run down.
Real Madrid will, however, not wait beyond the middle of next month to know whether or not the 30-year-old will join them. Los Blancos also want to explore a potential swap deal including Dani Ceballos, who is currently on a one-year loan at the Emirates.
The move by Los Blancos have garnered different reactions by fans and a large number of the fans shows their displeasure in the move, they believe the club should go for a young striker like Kylian Mbappe or give Luka Jovic a chance to prove himself rather than bring a striker who has passed his prime.
Los Blancos fans believe Aubameyang is still deadly scoring 17 goals out of 26 appearances in the current Premier League campaign but only a matter of time before he starts waning down, so it's better the club go for a player who has great potential and can stay at the club for a longer period of time.
