    COVID-19: Nigeria airports is 90 percent ready to reopen as confirmed by the Nigerian Government




    The Federal Government had confirm that  the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is 90 percent ready to kick start airports for domestic and international flight as precautions have been initiated to avoid  spreading  the coronavirus.

    During the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 briefing, the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, stated this on Saturday in Lagos.

    And after that , Aero Contractors plane did a  test run flight from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos and the purpose of this was to determine the readiness of domestic flight operation within the country 



    Sirika stated  that passengers for domestic and international flights must  arrive three and five hours respectively before boarding and all protocol guidelines will be observed.


    “Nobody not permitted to travel will access the airport, adding that the new airport security operatives, who have been trained to handle it, will ensure compliance with the help of K9,” Sirika said.

    The number of seats in the departure halls has also been reduced from 500 or 700 to 200 or 250.
