    FAITH-FULL

IT IS a small thing in the eyes of God to answer the request of one who lifts up his eyes to him in prayer. in fact one of his hobbies is to answer the request of them that call upon him even more than they asked, for he is not a respecter of persons and neither is he Partial.

The problem has not been God neither will it be God the problem has always been us.

Many of us have known through the teaching ministry of the fathers of Faith. the likes of Apostle Smith wigglesworth, Papa kenneth Hagin amongst others, that the key to answer to prayers is faith. backed up by the popular scripture which writes about the heroes of faith, Hebrews chapter 11. and as we read downwards we come to the popular verses which says and without faith it is impossible to please God. And this is true without any iota of doubt

Now the heroes mentioned in The book of Hebrews where all from the Old Testament and it will interest us to know that the word faith in itself is rarely used in the Old Testament alone but in its stead we see the use of the word faithful.

you might say what is the difference well there really isn't much of a difference but there has been a demeaning effect on the use of the word faith that many think they can scam God to receive whatever they want without being committed to HIM as long as they have "faith"

Try Saying the following sentences  to yourself

    "I have faith in God"
    "I am faithful to God"

You will notice if you paid attention as you were saying those words that the second sentence carried more weight of responsibility than the first.

Because it is easy to say we have faith but heavy to say we are faithful to God and the issue is because we have not taken into proper consideration the latter part of Hebrew 11:6. it says God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

It takes A faithful person to be diligent. to be faithful is to have loyal trust, Unbending trust, resolute trust in God.

This is what pleases God and this trust comes through relationship. it takes two lovers to be faithful to each other. the word faithfulness is used in the context of a relationship between two people most especially between a husband and wife. where the wife is faithful to the husband and the husband is faithful to the wife.

So we see that God is interested in a loving relationship and one of the characteristics of the loving relationship is faithfulness. if we are faithful to God as in a relationship there is nothing he won't do for us because he knows that we have his best interest in mind. it takes a faithful person to ask for what will not harm the other party.

This faithfulness is built, it is developed in the furnace of relationship. this is what the heroes in Hebrews 11 had.
this is what Jesus had that made God say this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased in. and this is what the early church fathers had. Faithfulness.
