Ecuador, UK, Italy: Comparing the world's COVID 19 situation with Nigeria's

It's no news that since the deadly Corona Virus popularly know as COVID 19 found its way to Wuhan province of China, the world has not been the same. Over thousands of nation's have been affected by this beast that has gone viral as death toll keep rising everyday.

In Ecuador, the deaths are so large that there are no space left in the country's cemetery. This has prompted health officials with due permission of the government to dump all excess dead bodies in Cartons and drop them on the road for all to see. This shows the height of Corona virus in the city. Some countries even have to throw their dead ones in the sea because of the lack of space to bury them.

UK had their Prime Minister, Boris Johnson infected in the recent weeks although he has been discharged and has been given a clean health bill. The death toll keeps increasing as well as well as the number of cases. This is happening even with country's strict lockdown policy.

In Italy,.the case is no better. As at March, the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in major hospitals of the countries were filled. Soldiers didn't fight war but we're regularly fighting the fear of transporting vehicles containing patients to the nearest isolation centres. Many lost their lives in the battle for survival against this deadly virus.

In Nigeria, we have a minimal lockdown or should we call it Curfew and our cases are just undulating around a particular figure. Just recently, Gombe state infected patients protested not being attended to. Prior to this protest, there was a video of suspected patients dancing and singing. In other countries, patients gasp for breath and hardly eat but in Nigeria they dance and protest.

Only God can save us. Time would tell if Corona is really in Nigeria.
