1. Pastor T.D Jakes: When T.D Jakes made the video about him searching for his roots and declared he has Igbo roots, the whole world went wild. He even boasted of his Igbo roots being the reason he's very industrious and not lazy. He's the head pastor of the famous Potter's Church.
2. Lil Wayne: Famous American rapper, Lil Wayne also went in search of his roots and found out he actually has Nigerian roots. It showed that he's about 53% Nigerian. Lil Wayne has expressed his desires to visit Nigeria one of this days.
3. Jidenna: Jidenna Theodore Mobisson popularly known as Jidenna, is a Nigerian-American singer signed at Wondaland Records..His father is Nigerian Igbo. Jidenna grew up partly in Nigeria, where her father was a professor of computer science at Enugu State University.
4. Forest Whitaker: He is an American actor, director and producer whose ancestors are from specifically from the village of Nkwere, a part and of the Igbo tribe. Forest Whitaker along with Danny Glover went to the land of their ancestors and were warmly welcomed as well as bestowed the honorary title of Chief “Nwannedinambe de Nkwerre” means “a brother in foreign land”.
5. Chiwetel Ejiofor: Chiwetel was born and bred in U.K although his parents are of the Igbo tribe. He's popular in Nigeria for featuring in the movie 'Half of a Yellow sun'.
