Word Drill: Knowing God

 Text: 1Timothy 2:4

"Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the Truth."

From our Text we get to know the mind of God for us that actually God intended that we don't just get saved but also come to the the knowledge of the Truth.

 What Truth?

The Bibles tells us in John 14:6, Jesus speaking said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.... From this scripture we can see that the Truth we speak about from our Text is Christ.

So the Father actually intended that we come into the Knowledge of who Christ is. Why? Because as we grow in our knowledge of who Christ is, we get to understand and know the Father.(John 14:7-9, Heb 1:1-3).

So the question is; how can we grow in our knowledge of who Christ is?hmm🤔

Actually there are 3 possible ways to grow in our knowledge of God.

 

 *1- Studying.* 

 *2- Listening.* 

 *3- Personal Encounter.* 

If you follow this tablets I just gave you, it will cure ur headache on how to Know God.

The problem here is actually following these principles consistently to know God, and so I'll employ you to be very disciplined, because it takes a high level of discipline and commitment to know God.

 1-  Studying(1Tim 4:13, 1John 1:1-4), 

The first book we must consume if we will actually grow in our knowledge of Christ is the Bible.  The Bible reveals the mind of God, the Principles of God and the ways of God as to how He deals with men. 

Secondly, we must give ourselves to reading and Studying of other spiritual books that will help us grow in our knowledge of God.

Give thyself to study.

 2-  Listening to the Witness of others

       (1John 1:5- 10)

From this scripture above, u see Apostle John sharing is own witness and revealed knowledge of Christ to us ..... The Bible reveals to us that we know in part in (1Cor 13:9), this is why we must listen to the revealed knowledge of God to others which have gone ahead of us, because God reveals himself in part to each and everyone of us, it on this wise no one can bost of knowing God in full.

 3-   Personal Encounter ( Deut 4:29)

"But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul."

This is the secret key to Encounter God. If we seek him with our whole heart the Bible said we will would find Him.

How do you seek God?

We seek God through consistent prayers, waiting on the Lord and a Consecrated life of devotion to God. (Act 10:1-3, Rev 1:9-10)
