If Nigeria was a book,
Perhaps, the cover would be formed
from the leather of our butchered brothers bodies
Our sons bodies blown to smithereens
up North
For what cover would cover a book
when it's economy hasn't recovered.
If Nigeria was a book,
It would contain no English
Language,
For what Grammar would form the
Composition of the historical story of a Nation
Or what could give us full
Comprehension when we claim democracy but all we really have is military
Dictation.
If Nigeria was a book,
All our Mathematics would be
Fractions of the poor increasing, oil price never decreasing, leaders looting
like the Treasury is an Open Sentence.
From the North, East, South and
West, we claim togetherness but all we have is Division
The only Multiplication we have are
the numbers of the Yahoo Boys and Benz
This trend would continue unless we
see beyond the lens,
For our atmosphere is tense,
It's high time we act than sit on a
Fence.
