Ronaldo Mentions Four Players That Should Have Won The Balon D'or

De lima Ronaldo who won the Ballon d’Or twice in 1997 and 2002 has singled out fours players who had blistering careers that sparkled out the light in football which ultimately should have won them the Balon d'or but never did win the most coveted award in football history.

Ronaldo mentioned Alessandro Del Piero, Paolo Maldini, Francesco Totti, and his former Real Madrid team mate Raul. He further added the most honoured and respected left back in football history Roberto Carlos.

“I’d say there are four players who didn’t win the Ballon d’Or, but should’ve done: Alessandro Del Piero, Paolo Maldini, Francesco Totti and Raul.

“I’d also add Roberto Carlos, who was twice in second place behind me,” Ronaldo said, according to Sporting Life.

It's unfair how football can be sometimes, the players were legends of the game and you can't talk about modern football without talking about the foot tracks of the legends. They knew the game, walked the game, and played it how it supposed to be played.

Del Piero, Roberto Carlos, Raul, Maldini and Francesco Totti are all highly ranked and considered the best in their respective positions judging from their ability and how they control the tempo of the game anytime they step their feet on the pitch but they have to go down the game as legends who never won the Balon d'or.
