Sometimes, we go through pain which affect us in every area of our lives. Some we consider so bad that it is beyond redemption, it might even come from the people we love and cherish so much. These pains might come from being abused sexually, not getting the love we deserve from our parents maybe from a broken home which might later lead us to finding love from those that doesn’t even deserve us.
I understand how this pains destroys our self esteem, that’s when we start feeling we are not good enough or some are better than us. You might even come from a place where you are adored but still you have done some terrible things that made you feel God will never forgive you.
You have been carrying this pain around for years, you know you need help but you are looking for help in the wrong place. Staying in an abusive relationship won’t help you but worsen the situation because you keep getting hurt. The story of the alabaster woman in Luke 7:36-50 explains the best place to come for help, the only place you can find help and rest is in God. The alabaster woman was tired of her life but she came to cry at Jesus feet, she poured her pains, fears at the feet of Jesus feet. This is the same thing Jesus is expecting you to do today, He wants to help you. He wants to bear your hurt and pains, He understands how you are feeling. He is not a God that delights in seeing you sad, whatever hurt you hurts Him.
Isa 61:3-4 says a lot about this, Salvation doesn’t ends at believing and proclamation but He also wants to change you. He want to
1. Console you
2. Exchange your beauty for ashes
3. give you joy
4. Exchange the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness
5. Rename you the oaks of righteousness because you are planted by God to display his glory.
6. You will be called a new name which His mouth will name
7. A crown of glory for you
8. You shall not longer be called forsaken nor your land be termed desolate
9. Because He delights so much in you.
10. Change your mess into a message
These are all that God wants to do for you, nothing I repeat nothing can separate you from the love of God(Romans 8:35). He understands your pain and He is ready to heal you and He want you to call on him today. Romans 10:13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
