Chelsea Ready To Axe Five Players Away From Stamford Bridge

According to ESPN Chelsea are reportedly ready to do away with five of their first team players this summer to free up funds for Jadon Sancho and Ben Chilwell.

ESPN reports that Frank Lampard will cast off a number of first-team members as he looks to rebuild his squad.

The report also debunked Ngolo Kante and Jorginho sale rumour stating that the Blue boss has no intention of selling them and reiterate their importance and intelligence to his game plan.

Yet current left-backs Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri are no longer required, while youngster Ian Maatsen could be promoted to the senior squad.

Tiemoue Bakayoko and striker Michy Batshuayi will be also see the red light by Chelsea. Chelsea have been allegedly negotiating with other clubs for their sale to free up funds for their transfer targets.

The Blues will also be parting ways with Davide Zappacosta who was loaned to Roma despite signing a new contract last summer. Zappacosta will be making his Roma loan a permanent deal.
