The Code of Conduct
Tribunal has adjourned the trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki on
corruption charges to October 21, 2015.Bukola Saraki on trial
for assets declaration fraud on September 22, 2015
The tribunal also,
today, September 22, granted Saraki bail on self-recognition after he pleaded
not guilty to the charges.
Saraki was, on
September 11, charged with 13 counts of corruption by the Code of Conduct
Bureau.
The Senate President
however failed to attend two trial on Friday, 18, and Monday, 21.
He however appeared at
the tribunal on Tuesday after two orders had been made for his arrest.
The CCB is accusing
Saraki of anticipatory declaration of assets and failure to declare assets
acquired during his tenure as Kwara State Governor among other offences.
